Tour Wiesendanger Wildlife Protection Area September 2012

For those interested in getting out into the real world, with your feet on the ground, breeze at your back, and sunshine on your face please join naturalist Lynne Flaccus and others for a tour on Saturday, October 13, 2012 of the 350-acre Georgia Fuller Wiesendanger Wildlife Protection Area in East Winthrop. The Small Woodlands Owners Association of Maine acquired the property during the last few years. We have since prepared a management plan, and just completed its first timber sale. We’ll be interpreting signs of wildlife, looking for migrating birds, and discussing what others can do to promote wildlife activity on their woodlots.

Cider, coffee, and donuts will be waiting. Meet on the Case Road, across from Oatway Lane at 9 a.m. Case Road is off of the Old Village Road, about two miles west on US 202 from its intersection with Rte. 17 in Manchester.
